An initiative realized thanks to the collaboration between Audiogamma and Warner Music Italia to celebrate 50 years of one of Pink Floyd's most iconic and influential albums.
The celebration of the 50th anniversary of The Dark Side of the Moon continues with a tour dedicated to the new 2023 remastering of the album. The three-dimensional listening experience will take place in 10 locations throughout Italy, the first on Sept. 9 in Rome.
“The Dark Side Of The Moon – 50th Anniversary Listening Tour” is the name of the initiative created through the collaboration between Audiogamma and Warner Music Italia to celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of the most iconic and influential albums of all time. The tour consists of 10 stages listening sessions in different cities and will open on Saturday, Sept. 9 in Rome at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica to end on Sunday, Dec. 3 in Bergamo.
The British band’s eighth studio album is one of the most popular and best-selling records in music history, with more than 50 million copies sold worldwide. To celebrate 50 years Warner Music (Sony in the U.S.) released a deluxe box set that includes CD and gatefold vinyl with the new 2023 remastering of the studio album, a Blu-Ray and audio DVD with the original 5.1 mix and remastered stereo versions. The box set also includes a Blu-Ray with the Atmos mix, the CD and LP of ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon – Live At Wembley Empire Pool, London, 1974,’ replicas of two 7″ singles, a 160-page hardcover photo book, a 76-page songbook and memorabilia.
The album will be played with an exceptional high-tech sound system for a unique experience, using only JBL’sSummit Series speakers , Everest or K2. The listening experience will be expertly guided by Marco Fullone, music designer and Tour testimonial, who will take listeners on an exclusive journey through the album (all dates will be on Saturdays).
