Triangle Borea Connect Active: now there is also HDMI.

French company Triangle has unveiled the new Borea Connect BR03 and BR02: a concentrate of practicality at an attractive price.

The Triangle Borea Connect are yet another demonstration of how the market, especially at the entry level, demands compact all-in-one solutions that can multi-task. This was very well understood by the French company Triangle, which introduced to the market at the end of November these two models of active loudspeakers that already with the previous version, and even earlier with the passive version, were quite successful with the public.

With the Triangle Borea Connect you can connect both your PC and TV

The Triangle Borea Connect line-up includes the BR02 and BR03. Both are active loudspeakers that differ mainly in the class-D amplifications that equip them: 2×50 W for the BR02 Connect and 2x60W for the BR03 Connect. The pulp midwoofer is also different in size: 13 cm for BR02 and16.5 cm for BR03. Both models mount the proven EFS (Efficient Flow System) silk dome tweeter. As is often the case with active loudspeakers, with the Triangle Borea Connect you will have a master speaker with amplification, dac and everything else inside, and then, a slave speaker that connects to the master speaker via a supplied cable. In terms of connections, the big news is the presence of an HDMI ARC that will allow you to control TV and speakers with the same remote control and asynchronous USB-B to connect your PC. Also present, coaxial and optical inputs, analog via minijack and RCA line. The RCA input, via a selector switch, becomes a MM phono input. If you have a subwoofer in your home you can connect it via the appropriate output. Streaming via Bluetooth 5.0, aptX, aptX HD available. As for the dac, you will find an ESS 9018K2M capable of playing 32-bit/384 kHz files in PCM and DSD256.
