Soulnote A2 E

SoulNote is an up-and-coming Japanese company led by Hideki Kato, a designer who has had many excellent collaborations in his career, including Marantz and Nec, just to name two. Its technical, aesthetic but also functional approach to HiFi is completely original and is perfectly reflected in the three product lines Soulnote offers. The amplifier under test – A2 E- is part of the Series 2, the midrange one, and can be considered an excellent summary of Kato’s philosophy: powerful enough, capable of expressing excellent sound quality and extraordinary driving capabilites. A2 E is the classic analog amplifier, so it has no internal DAC, phono input or streamer section and is in a fully balanced configuration. Really recommended for those who like power, grip and dynamics.
