MoFi MasterDeck, new turntable by Allen Perkins

MoFi Electronics recently announced MasterDeck, its new reference turntable. Designed by Allen Perkins, it is handmade at the MoFi Electronics factory in Michigan.

MoFi MasterDeck a turntable for audiophile enthusiasts

The MoFi MasterDeck can rely on a 4.5cm-thick high-mass platter made from a hybrid of aluminum and Delrin that runs on an inverted“Encapsulated Spiral Groove” bearing. It is operated by a three-phase brushless DC motor with optical adjustment (sealed in an insulation container), the available speeds are 33.3 45 and 78 rpm, with display on a four-digit display arranged to the left of the platter, in short, the MoFi MasterDeck is no joke when it comes to technology. We now turn to the damped wooden bonded-layer and aluminum plinth that rests on Harmonic Resolution Systems (HRS) isolation feet. The MoFi MasterDeck’s Plinth is contained in a solid wood chassis, resulting in a total turntable weight of nearly 20 kg. Last but don’t least the newly developed arm. It is a 10-inch double-pivot made of carbon fiber and finished with a removable headshell with Adjustment of azimuth, VTA and anti-skating. Last treat is the internal wiring, signed Cardas.
