WiiM Amp Ultra

Finally the versatility of the ULTRA with an amplifier inside, it’s called Amp Ultra and it is set to redefine the market segment, thanks to the usual unbeatable value for money that WiiM has always accustomed us to. 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms with a very advanced input pool, from analog sources to streaming to Spotify to TV. The chassis is ULTRA’s aluminum unibody one with a 3.5-inch touchscreen that allows you to manage playback, change sources, view album covers, and access all functions with a single touch. SABRE’s ESS ES9039Q2M DAC, dual TI TPA3255 class-D amplifiers and six TI OPA1612 op-amps. Also for WiiM Ultra Amp is Post-Filter Feedback technology, which automatically compensates for changes in speaker load, allowing smoother driving of any load. Thermal management is as already pioneered by WiiM, with a copper heat pipe attached to the end chips to quickly dissipate heat, a large aluminum surface area to maximize conductivity on the base, and a control that adjusts temperature in real time to ensure long-term reliability as well. Connectivity is another feature of WiiM ULTRA Amp, Wi-Fi 6 tri-band and Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC and AAC codecs, then HDMI ARC, Line IN to RCA, sub out, an optical input and a USB-A output for an external DAC. Rounding out the equipment are 4 binding posts for connection to speakers through banana connections.

The streaming compartment lacks nothing, Spotify, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer, Pandora, iHeartRadio, TuneIn and SoundCloud, with the touchscreen that can show album covers, VU meter and main controls for interacting with the platforms. WiiM Amp Ultra inherits the sophisticated acoustic metering and correction system of the other products in the range, which can automatically optimize the equalization curve according to the type of speakers, distance and room acoustics, possibly even optimizing subwoofer intervention when present. An equalizer is then available where you can choose from 24 preset profiles, or adjust the curves at will through a 10-band graphic and parametric system independently for each input while controlling the subwoofer cutoff.

Any function can be managed through the WiiM app, which is compatible with any operating system. Accompanying the new WiiM Voice Remote 2, with aluminum body, rechargeable battery, push-to-talk voice commands, dedicated buttons and smart presets for easy and immediate control.
