AUDIO RESEARCH REFERENCE 330M

We have seen it far and wide at trade shows in prototype form and have been waiting for its release. 330W with 6 KT170s, the new final tubes that are more powerful than the KT150s, for a truly stunning product in many ways, also being a hybrid. A high-performance power amplifier then, 330M is based on 55 years of experience in tube amplifier design that only a manufacturer like Audio Research can boast. Fully balanced in pentode mode it delivers 330 watts of power, more than double that of the previous top-of-the-line Reference 160M MkII thanks to six KT170 tubes driven by JFET transistors. Thus, the amplifier features a hybrid design that combines tubes and solid state in the input and power circuits while maintaining an all-valve signal path.

330M is embellished with Audio Research's exclusive GhostMeter® VU display, which appears to float in front of the KT170 valves inside a double-layered glass window

Reference 330M is equipped with proprietary auto-bias and tube monitoring systems that help prolong its lifespan, and it is also graced with Audio Research’s exclusive GhostMeter® VU display, which appears to float in front of the KT170 tubes inside a double-layered glass window. 330M offers an extremely immersive listening experience with great dynamics and a highly refined sound.

Available in black or silver, the Reference 330M is expected to cost around 120,000 for the pair.
