Pro-Ject A1.2 the turntable for everyone

The Austrian company has announced the new the Pro-Ject A1.2, the latest addition to the AUTOMAT range.

After the Pro-Ject A1, born just over two years ago., it is now the turn of the Pro-Ject A1.2, a turntable that is easy, fully automatic and able to please everyone with the standard of quality that the brand is used to proposing to its customers and at the same time with a disarming ease of installation and use.

PRO-JECT A1.2: automatic is beautiful

The Pro-Ject A1.2 introduces some major improvements such as a system to maintain constant playback speed and accuracy. We find a newly designed die-cast aluminum platter in place of the molded one found on the A1. The platter is made with CNC machines to achieve the highest possible performance at a very low price.

We also learn directly from the website of the company, founded now back in 1991, that the automatic drive is handmade in Germany by a traditional manufacturer with extensive experience in the production of automatic turntables. Assembly, on the other hand, is done in the Czech Republic. The Pro-Ject A1.2 can count on. An 8.3-inch ultralight aluminum tonearm. The cartridge used is the Pick it MM E, designed to maximize the price/performance ratio with this turntable and which is capable of rapid and detailed response in terms of transients and microdynamics. Extreme ease in terms of adjustments as f orce tracking and anti-skating are pre-adjusted at the factory, making the A1.2 plug & play for even the most inexperienced newcomer. Present is a phono preamplifier inside the Pro-ject A1.2 that can be excluded if desired.
