Thanks to a carefully designed port and a unique port configuration, the system delivers a more extended and natural low-frequency response compared to traditional bass-reflex speakers. Listening

The R200s have a personality all their own, with a surprisingly mature character. Many contemporary speakers try to impress the listener with a particularly emphasized high end or artificially inflated bass. Polk takes a different approach. The initial impression is one of balance. It’s measured, almost cautious, but just a few hours of listening are enough to realize that behind this apparent moderation lies remarkable refinement. The soundstage reconstruction is probably one of the project’s most compelling qualities. The physical dimensions of the speakers seem to disappear quickly, giving way to a wide and well-organized soundstage. Vocals are precisely positioned at the center of the stage without taking on unnatural proportions, while instruments occupy credible and stable positions. We tested them with mid-range amplifiers, priced around 1,500€, but we then realized that when paired with high-end equipment, the R200s became “fun.”
