The midrange is one of this speaker’s strengths. Vocals possess body, articulation, and a remarkable ability to reproduce the tonal nuances that distinguish one performer from another. This quality shines through clearly in both the jazz we’ve listened to extensively and the acoustic music that helps make the listening experience extremely engaging over the long term. The bass performance deserves special mention. Considering the cabinet’s size, its extension is surprising. Even more striking than the absolute depth is the sense of control. The bass never intrudes on the rest of the spectrum and always remains well-defined, even with complex musical programs. Obviously, it doesn’t match the authority of a floor-standing tower, but it manages to provide a credible and satisfying sonic foundation even in medium-to-large rooms. The high end, on the other hand, stands out for its composure and lack of harshness. The Pinnacle tweeter offers a high level of detail but carefully avoids any tendency toward showiness. It’s a choice that some listeners might initially interpret as less brilliance compared to certain competitors, but which ultimately proves to be a winning one due to its natural sound and lack of fatigue. After many hours of listening, perhaps the most important characteristic of the Reserve R200 emerges: its ability to adapt to very different musical genres without ever revealing obvious limitations or marked preferences. It is a speaker that does not seek to impress, but ultimately wins you over thanks to the overall coherence of its design. This is a rare quality, especially in a price range where many competitors still tend to prioritize immediate impact over overall balance. In short, we really liked them, from almost every perspective. The only “flaw” lies in the finish, which—especially in the black version—looks more professional but isn’t distracting in any case. It’s probably best to opt for the wood finish, which is more suited to any decor. But in the end, it’s a compromise that’s easy to accept. After all, you listen with your ears!
